Pagan - or just irresponsible?

A change of topics this morning. I'll get back to Candle Magic and Magical ethics, etc., but I just have to get this little rant out of my system!
It seems like the Pagan numbers are growing day by day, which, to me is a good thing. But wait, what kind of Pagans are they? The title Pagan has grown to be rather clouded and confusing, to say nothing of all-encompassing. Some people claim Paganism to be any nature-based lifestyle or Pantheon related religion. Others see Pagan and Heathen as interchangeable. And somebody else says Pagans are gentle, agriculture-types. Some think Pagans are all Wiccans. There are those that see Pagans as hippie-like anachronisms. Still others (and these are the ones that REALLY burn me up), use the title of Pagan so that they can:

always be late (Pagan Standard Time)
always smell(bathing optional)
not hold down a regular job or in some way make themselves useful
(only working long enough to pay for the next batch of Meade -
or meet someone else that will!)
and
just be irresponsible in general
Personally, I don't call that anything but inconsiderate, lazy, slovenly, and of poor character. I realize I am not supposed to be judgemental of others, but I am getting damned tired of being lumped in with these miscreants. And if, among those who read this, there are some who fall into that category of Pagan and are upset with me for saying all of this: TOO BAD! Quit giving the rest of us bad press!
Okay, I feel better now. Let me catch my breath and smooth my ruffled feathers and I'll get back to some Candle Magic!
